Arshavin's wife admits: I'm still not sure about dodgy English food, but I couldn't stop him joining Arsenal

Andrey Arshavin's wife Yulia admits she had reservations about leaving St Petersburg and disrupting the life of her two young children.

But the 26-year-old insisted she would never have stood in the way of the Russia forward's move to Arsenal.

'Of course it's hard to change our life so abruptly having two small kids,' she said, 'but I didn't have a single moment of doubt that we needed to make this step.'

Arshavin moved to Arsenal in February after completely a protracted £12million move from UEFA Cup holders Zenit St Petersburg.

Yulia and the couple's son and daughter moved permanently to London on Sunday after they found a home in London. 'To prevent Andrey's dream from coming true? It couldn't even occur to me.'
